Career Guidance

Mopani TVET College offer career guidance which is aimed at assisting students with career choices and advice based on their personality , career interest, aptitude and abilities.
Prospective students of Mopani TVET College are assisted to make informed career choices for the study field they are interested to register. The Competency and Placement (CAP) Assessment is administered by the Student Support Services team to prospective students. The CAP Assessment is not a pass or fail Assessment but rather it is part of the process to guide prospective students in choosing the best suitable study programme.

Students registered with the College receive continuous career guidance and support throughout their study term. This is done through sessions with various stakeholders such as KHETHA, NYDA, SAQA or College initiated sessions directed at career support.

Results for the CAP assessment assist in identifying students who will require further interventions/support with their academic studies.

Mopani TVET College also conduct visits at Schools and Non-Government Organizations providing career guidance. The focus is to ensure that young people make informed career choice and also access information of available funding for their studies.
