College Holds Results Analysis Session For 2024 Academic Year

Mopani TVET College held results and accountability session for academic year 2024, on 27 January 2025 at the Phalaborwa Campus. The primary focus of the session was to analyse the results across the programmes offered at the college namely, National Certificate Vocational NC(V) levels 2-4, Report 191 Business Studies & Engineering Studies. The session aimed to assess whether the college’s results had improved and to evaluate the effectiveness of the improvement plans implemented after previous academic cycles, with a focus on enhancing teaching and learning outcomes.  The college surpassed its NC(V) pass percentage, increasing from 82% in 2023 to 87% in 2024. This 5% improvement is attributed to the hard work and dedication of the lecturing staff across both campuses. Similarly, Report 191 Engineering Studies saw a 5% increase in performance, rising from 60% in the second trimester of 2024 to 65% in the third trimester.

Business Studies, on the other hand, maintained a steady pass rate of 82% across both the first and second semesters of 2024.  The session reaffirmed the importance of accountability, continuous monitoring, and targeted interventions in improving student performance. The College remains focused on building on these gains and further enhancing academic excellence across all programmes in future academic cycles.
